The Opportunity:


As we look to build capability within our transformation function, we are seeking an experienced Programme Director to come and join our team.

This role will see you manage the end-to-end delivery of one of our flagship transformation programmes within thelife and pensions industry.

The role is directly client facing. Programmes consist of multiple work-streams and are likely to implement over several years. Programmes will represent major change across several areas of the business.


You'll be:

  • Responsibility for delivery of one of Diligenta's flagship Transformation programmes, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, to scope.
  • Working with Programme Sponsors and stakeholders to understand strategic context and to define and agree Programme objectives, scope, approach and an appropriate governance regime
  • Creating and implementing robust programme planning reporting and control processes, in line with FPLC
  • Integrating workstreams and managing crossbusiness interdependencies to ensure coordinated delivery
  • A mentor for both the business and the IT areas, identifying pragmatic solutions for business or programme issues. You will likely to be regarded as an expert by several areas of the business in terms of change delivery and solutions
  • Identifying financial and operating risks and issues affecting the programme and the business, putting appropriate measures in place to effectively manage and control
  • Managing interfaces with external stakeholders (business partners, regulators etc.) in order to ensure full integration of solutions
  • In charge the development and agreement of budget and expenditure associated with major strategic programmes of change, ensuring that costs are contained within agreed levels and that the benefits are realised.
  • Leading, managing & motivating large, diverse teams and will train such staff as may be assigned or seconded to work on the programme, including personal development and mentoring of colleagues at more junior levels.
  • Responsible for chairing governance boards and championing governance processes
  • Have experience delivering high profile transformation programmes within the life and pensions industry
  • Have experience delivering projects/programmes in a services setting (delivering change services in a commercial client setting)
  • Have experience delivering transformation/migration type programmes.
  • Have a proven track record of delivery in major programmes
  • Enjoy the confidence of senior management.
  • Have a strong understanding of leadingedge programme management, methodology and best practice.
  • Have an ability to lead large, diverse teams
  • Are able to manage highlevel stakeholder relationships
  • Have advanced planning and organisational skills
  • Are a high impact influencer and negotiator
