This is an exciting opportunity for a data quality professional to drive improvement and value across the Society. We're looking for someone passionate about how improved data quality can help meet strategic goals.

Forming a key part of the Data Quality team you will be delivering improvements and helping others realise the benefits that come from improving data quality, as well as collaborating with and learning from others as we engage with areas right across Nationwide with our colleagues from the wider Enterprise Data Governance team.

What you'll be doing:


Reporting to a Data Quality Manager you will play a key role in defining and embedding Data Quality best practice across the Society.

To do this successfully we will need to bring the rest of the society on this journey and have them implement and undertake Data Quality in line with the ways of working and tooling approach defined centrally.

You'll contribute to the definition of the Data Quality approach and operating model then help the Society to implement.

Supporting and working with the Data Quality Managers to drive business adoption of Data Quality controls in alignment with strategic business priorities.


We'll need you to work with stakeholders to complete data quality maturity assessments, define improvement plans and then collaborating to help deliver progress.

Upskilling the business in terms of data quality techniques and technologies to embed best practice across the Society.


About you:


You will be a data quality professional who can speak to data and business people alike to help them understand what data quality means for them and who it can add value for the Society and our Members.

You will have
-
Data Quality expertise
  • Experience in working in data quality and an appetite to develop in this area.

Data Quality profiling experience
  • Experience in measuring and understanding the quality of data either with a specific DQ tool or using other tools / techniques.

A value driven mindset
  • An understanding of where value can be gained by improving data quality.

Experience in data quality issue management
  • A background in data quality issue management including triaging issues, proposing solutions, and then supporting the delivery of these.

  • Engagement with business stakeholders is a key part of this role and so the role holder will need to be comfortable dealing with people across the organisation.
