Description

Do you want to work in an organisation that is committed to making a real difference not only to the lives of the people in South Norfolk and Broadland but to the working lives of every individual employed in the One Team? We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated individual to join our Democratic Services Team to help with the delivery of a comprehensive, effective and pro-active democratic service, across the two Councils.

You will be responsible for servicing a number of meetings of various committees and working groups which involve compiling and publishing agendas, taking minutes and providing procedural advice at meetings.

The attendance of evening meetings will be required.

To be a success in this challenging and varied post, you will need excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and be able to relate to councillors, officers and customers at all levels.

Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work without close supervision and to work under pressure are essential requirements for the post.

You must also be competent in IT, and knowledge of a committee management system and committee processes would be an advantage.
