An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Senior Buyer within construction with one of our esteemed clients with ample opportunity for career progression.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for 1-2 days per week in the office.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide daytoday support in procuring construction services, managing routine procurement activities, and supporting strategic initiatives or projects.
  • Lead the endtoend procurement lifecycle, from sourcing to contract negotiation/execution, and ongoing Supplier Performance and Relationship Management.
  • Challenge conventional procurement approaches to develop innovative contracting solutions.
  • Manage and influence internal stakeholders, negotiate existing and new contracts for optimal cost/service.
  • Support key investment projects and lead projects independently.
  • Manage suppliers to foster professional and effective business relationships.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable track record of Indirect Procurement experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Awareness of JCT/NEC contracting.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Multisite procurement and stakeholder management experience.

Desirable:

  • Category management experience.
