Job Description Summary:

As a Technology Evaluation Specialist Intern, you will assist in building a holistic view of in-licensing areas of interest, or specific opportunities by acting as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team to perform technical evaluation contributing to business case development.

Support opportunities from scouting through to execution as needed, from technology evaluation perspective as part of due diligence activities.

Record evaluation process decisions and report updates as needed.


Fixed-Term Contract: 12 Months

Office-Based in Chalfont St. Giles UK (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:


  • Assist Technology Evaluation team as well as domain experts in business relevant disease areas (e.g. neurology, oncology, cardiology) and / or modalities (e.g. SPECT / PET / Contrast agents / Ultrasound / Theranostics) by performing landscaping, analysis, and reports as required.
  • Support review of opportunities from all functional angles, clinical, preclinical, IP, imaging technology, regulatory, chemistry/radiochemistry, competitive landscape, etc.
  • Provide scientific rigor on new concepts in diagnostic imaging as well as emerging technologies, including the use of software solutions (computer aided diagnosis and other digital areas).
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of current business product portfolio, emerging adjacencies and competitive technology.
  • Work with Technology Evaluation team to define focus areas and priorities on a frequent basis.
  • Drive market landscaping activities as required, perform literature reviews and gather voice of experts/customer through discussions with external Healthcare Professionals.
  • Be able to communicate accurately and clearly to a wide variety of stakeholders to enable high quality and timely decisions for portfolio growth.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bsc or Msc Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Medical Imaging Sciences or related field
  • Awareness of imaging chemistry / radiochemistry
  • Experience in conducting literature reviews, leading to summative reports
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
