Releasing Potential is an education charity established in 2001 which has at its heart an independent special school for students with social emotional and mental health difficulties. We are looking for Tutors to deliver the bespoke curriculum in group and one to one settings.

Overview of role
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, maintenance, and general building repair.

To deliver maintenance and general building repair activity sessions to young people.

  • To ensure that you have the correct equipment and qualification to supervise any activity you lead.
  • To ensure that all activities have a risk assessment and continue to assess the changing nature of the risk each time you work with a group or individual young person, this should include obtaining an up to date and relevant weather forecast.
  • To provide feedback to RP School, referring agencies, parents or carers, this may be in form of a weekly update or verbal report.
  • To ensure that all records regarding students are kept up to date and are easily accessible for other staff who may teach that group on another occasion.

Commitment to Safeguarding Children:


  • To ensure awareness of School policy and procedures re Child Protection and Safeguarding
  • To be aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse by participating in regular training
  • To report all causes for concern to the Safeguarding Lead
  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children RP works with

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a maintenance role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and maintenance.
  • Ability to fabricate or repair equipment as needed.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise others effectively.


You'll be working to a high standard of upkeep and maintenance, ensuring all your work complies with statutory and in-house requirements.

You'll need to be able to keep accurate records of checks, inspections, tests and maintenance you undertake.

You'll also be assisting with the delivery of property/facilities projects on-site, working closely with other teams as required.

£24,964.00-£29,374.00 per year
