About this client:
Julia, 16, lives at home with her Mum and twin sister Trudy, in a fully staffed house.
Julia is a delightful young lady who enjoys listening to music and stories, long walks in the park, baking and art activities.
Julia likes to be busy and enjoys stimulating activities including, being out and about, going to the Zoo, park, museums, bowling, lunching, and swimming.
She attends school Monday to Friday. She has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy (well controlled), and a visual impairment; she is a wheelchair user. Her home is fully adapted to meet her needs, including hoists.Julia is non-verbal; she communicates by vocalising and is currently learning to use_ _a switch system that enables her to use up to 30 words.
Trudy is very independent, occasionally you will spend time with her too and encourage a positive interaction between the sisters.
Overview of role:
We are recruiting for a professional female
- SEN Nanny to support Julia.
Julia is fully dependent on others including personal care, medication, feeding, organising engaging and fun activities, implementing therapies, and promoting her independence.
managing her bedroom, wardrobe, and equipment, searching for new activities, organising her calendar and medical appointments. Also to support the housekeeper with preparing healthy meals for both girls and occasionally with Julia's laundry. At night you will have a camera monitor and assist Julia if needed. 7 days on 7 days off; handover day is on a Wednesday, but flexibility needed for this to change. During your working week, you will have sole charge and full responsibility for Julia.
Mum travels frequently for work and you are expected to have sole charge for both children after school and overnight while mum is away (proxy parent)._ _Travel is international and you must be available and flexible for this.
Up to £75,000.00 gross per annum depending on experience.Who this job would suit:
