Norwich Aluminium have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Glazing Surveyor to join an established team within a successful company.
A good sound knowledge of the window industry and previous experience in surveying is essential.


About the Role:


  • Attend prearranged site surveys and confirm window and door specification details with customers.
  • Accurately measure structural openings and produce clear documents for internal use and client issue.
  • Produce sketch and/or CAD drawings of head, base and reveal details for internal use and client issue.
  • Compile a detailed survey report for internal use and client issue.
  • Identify and specify any extra items required, for example aluminium trims and pressings.
  • Take before photos of the openings, access routes, and any construction or site issues.
  • Take note and document any structure condition details on existing openings where replacement is planned.
  • Produce survey documentation ensuring the quality and accuracy of all contract documentation.
  • Liaise with customers regarding any technical queries they may have.
  • Confirm any additional requirements to the original contact.
  • Implement safe working practice by assess site conditions and highlighting any conditions which may impact installation.
  • Proactively support the sales and installation functions of the business.

Essential Skills & Experience:


  • Significant surveyor experience within double glazing/windows/doors
  • Experience of aluminium windows and door products beneficial.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and terminology.
  • Ability to produce accurate drawing details.
  • A full understanding of the latest building regulations
  • CAD experience helpful but not essential
  • Must be able to work on own initiative with a proactive approach.
  • Attention to detail and process driven excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer manner
This is a full time, permanent position.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Full driving licence required.

Company vehicle provided.
