As a Receptionist, your role will include:

  • Providing a warm welcome to all guests visiting the hotel, both in house and non-residents
  • Assist with guest checkins and checkouts
  • Maintain a warm and friendly manner with each interaction, whilst ensuring efficiency during busy check in and check out periods
  • Allocation of rooms according to guest preferences
  • Coordination of rooms for early arrivals.
  • Build guest profiles through conversations with guests
  • Ensuring a fond farewell is given to each guest upon departure
  • Rooming of guests in guest services/guest relations absence
  • Providing information on the local area in conjunction with the concierge team

As a Receptionist, you will:


  • Preferably have experience in a dynamic and exceptional level of guest service role, in a 3 or 4 star hotel
  • Excellent attention to detail and computer skills
  • Anticipate guest needs and surpass expectations to enhance the guest experience
  • Have a distinctive blend of confidence and personality to help give our guests an unforgettable experience
- can make Intuitive decisions in favour of the guest and maintain the highest standards of service

  • Have a naturally warm and generous personality
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to £10.42 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Southampton SO32 2JY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
