At Ardmore, we're currently recruiting for a Finishing Manager/Foreperson to contribute towards the completion of one our Projects in Hornsey.

This position will be responsible for managing site resources, dynamically alter programmes to ensure deliveryon site, walking through units with trades ensuring speed and quality.


Your responsibilities:


  • Internal build of the units and communal to cores or blocks as required.
  • Overseeing the dry lining, tape & jointing, carpentry, kitchen, M&E and all other associated subcontractors involved in the build of the units
  • Coordination with M&E manager and subcontractors to ensure works complete in time
  • Ordering of materials associated with the works. Waste management to ensure materials are not being abused by subcontractor
  • Carrying out quality assurance checks on the works as it progresses ensuring correct spec, sufficiently installed, within tolerances, compliant with requirements, issuing corrective notices/ nonconformances for rectification and ensuring this is carriedout.
  • Snagging works as it progresses
  • Ensuring all trades complete tasks in accordance with design, specification and compliance checks
  • Liaising with NHBC and Building Control on inspections
  • Questioning details which are not working out on site with the PM or DM. Aid resolution with the consultants
  • Managing the health and safety of subcontractors and operatives on site. Ensuring everyone has been inducted, signed up to RAMS and carried out a safe start. Checking all equipment is correct for use and operating safely
  • Achieving programme dates
  • Use 4 Projects and Fieldview (snagging and QA)

What we're looking for:

Required

  • Trade background and/ or at least 2 years' experience as a Finishing Manager
  • Ability to use 4 Projects and read/ communicate drawing
  • Ability to use Fieldview for snagging and QA
  • Ability to meet deadlines: delivers projects on time
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office 2016)
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction management or equivalent
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS black card (management)
  • Building Regulations (including Part B)
  • Commercial awareness
  • NHBC Standards
Desired

  • Knowledge of MS Projects or ASTA
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Fieldview (QA)
  • JCT Contract awareness
  • First Aid At Work
