Overview of job


DAX is our pioneering digital advertising exchange which connects advertisers with audiences at scale across digital audio and programmatic outdoor.

The Product Training Lead will be responsible for ensuring the National and Local sales teams have the knowledge and skills necessary to over-deliver on the needs of our advertising partners.


This will range from helping them to confidently communicate our products, to strategically planning campaigns, to excellent articulation of our targeting capabilities, and delivering brilliant post-campaign insights.

Measures of success -

In the first few months, you would have:

  • Fully familiarised yourself with Supercharging DAX and the project so far (to include understanding the learning gaps)
  • Embedded yourself within the DAX team and built strong relationships with your key stakeholders
  • Gotten to grips with DAX as a product and the go to market campaigns for both National and Local Sales
  • Fully upskilled yourself on DAX with a strong understanding of the Digital Media marketplace

Responsibilities of the role
This role will operate as an internal learning & development consultant across Commercial teams.

  • Leading all elements of Supercharging DAX project to include project management, resource management and communications. The aim of the project is to increase the DAX knowledge and skill of the sales teams to an intermediate to advanced competency level.

This would include:
- identifying level of competence across all sales roles
- designing internal training programme, based on role requirements
- implementing internal training programme, to include training delivery measuring success

  • Supporting with all DAX related content in Commercial induction programmes
  • Working with DAX team on training RE process/product/collateral launches and changes spanning from tech, to data, to process
  • Working with DAX team as part of product builds to become the SME for all DAX training
  • Utilising the internal training programme to building an externalfacing accreditation programme to increase DAX product knowledge and awareness in the industry

What you will need

  • Experience of learning & development within the wider Media ecosystem, any within the Digital Media or Tech space would be an advantage
  • A strong understanding of the full learning cycle to include identifying needs, recommending creative and innovative solutions that need the business need, implementing the solution to a high standard and evaluating the return on investment
  • Exceptional training design skills, virtual and trainerled, to include:
  • Ability to ensure all content is business-relevant, aligns with our purpose and values and reflects the tone and style of the business
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, to include:
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, compelling, and simple way
  • Delivering content in an engaging way that supports the learners
  • Public speaking skills such as pace, projection, eyecontact, inclusive language etc
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse audience and 'work the room' be that face to face or virtual
  • Active listening and effective questioning techniques to ensure all learners are engaged and making the most of the content
  • Criticalthinking and commercialawareness skills; using analysis and evaluation to propose a development/project intervention that meets the needs of the business and has a strong return on investment
  • Relationship management skills: able to build effective relationships quickly with your key stakeholders, gain buyin, maintain an active network, influence others and being a trusted partner
  • The ability to keep up to date with external and internal trends and understanding how this knowledge can be used to enhance our Supercharging DAX development offer
