Purchase ledger Clerk

An exciting opportunity to work for a market leading, award winning, print company producing printed matter such as brochures and catalogues for many household names across the UK. We are recruiting a purchase ledger controller to join our finance team.

The role:


  • Take ownership to ensure all invoices and credit notes are correctly entered and processed through the highvolume purchase ledger system.
  • Take responsibility for reconciling purchase ledger accounts to statements.
  • Managing the process of supplier payments, both weekly and monthly, adhering to deadlines for discounts.
  • Work with both internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Continually review ways of working and be involved in projects as we look to evolve the purchase ledger function.
  • Supervise credit control for our Publishing division sales ledger.

About You:


  • You need to be naturally organised, selfmotivated and efficient, with strong communication skills
  • Enjoy working within a team.
  • Have at least 1 years' experience in an account's office
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 and Excel would be an advantage
