About the job
This is an office based position, responsible for service delivery to the local customer base for handling additional, more complex tasks as delegate

Location
World Freight Terminal, Airport, Manchester


Requirements:


Main accountabilities include:

  • Answer incoming enquiries from the local customer base
  • Make bookings onto the Ami system.
  • Monitor and correct any irregularities found
  • Provide quotations cross referencing any relevant products and offering the most appropriate product to the client.
  • Respond to delegated tasks, such as accounts, pallet planning, airline purchasing, sales activities.
  • Securing business and maximising profits.
  • Issue documentation as required: MAWB/HAWB/HMC & Security documentation/invoices.
  • Assist with operational issues; liaising with warehouse, and other internal/external departments as required
  • Respond to customer complaints according to company policy in a professional manner at all times. Referring any written complaints to Supervisor level or above.
  • Work in accordance with AMI quality assurance procedures.
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly audits as required and in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with training new and inexperienced staff.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as delegated.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good customer service skills ideally within an airfreight export environment
  • Good operation and product knowledge
  • Good time management & prioritisation skills essential
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Good Interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Must be proactive and forward thinking


  • MS office skills

  • Word, Excel would be advantageous
  • Level CO security certificate desirable (training will be provided)
