The role in a nutshell:

Provide strategic and tactical technical guidance to clients operating in the financial services sector, including banks, insurance companies and other leading fintech innovators
Conduct thorough assessments of client requirements, identify business challenges, and architect and lead innovative and practical solutions.
You will be a multiplier, leading and manage consulting engagements with senior client stakeholders, cultivating a longterm partnership as a trusted advisor
You have a passion for modern software architecture, design and development and will use your prior experience to consult and advocate for modernisation and Agile approaches
You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement strategic plans, business processes, and technology solutions that align with client objectives.
You can lean on your broader expertise in financial services to analyse market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and advise clients on growth strategies and risk management.
You stay uptodate with financial industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies in the financial services sector, and proactively share knowledge and insights with Kin+Carta teams and clients.
Provide mentorship and guidance to less senior consultants, fostering their professional growth and development.
Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, participating in proposal development, and delivering compelling offers to prospective clients.

What you'll be doing:

You'll join our growing team of consultants working in our Financial Services practice who all share your passion for building great products
You'll benefit from knowledge sharing sessions across the business, such as the Web and Back-End team's weekly meeting
You'll build marketleading products, across a number of different public sector departments
You will take part in new business & pitching by working with our demand team to advise on technical design and approach for new business opportunities
You will help your teams by providing client & customer context for decisions, offering management and mentoring support where required.
You'll contribute to our continued growth by helping identify and interview great new teammates

The type of person we'd love to meet:

You have career experience in both financial services and technical consulting and are passionate about passing on your knowledge to drive better outcomes for everyone
You have strong knowledge of financial sector industry regulations, GDPR and are experienced architecting compliant solutions, keeping up to date and ensuring teams are also aligned with the relevant legislation and understand the implications
You'll ideally have deep payments expertise, understanding the classic Visa and Mastercard payments rails, how payment gateways work from the perspective of the gateway provider, Open Banking, and alternative and emerging payments mechanisms
Confident working with crossfunctional, agile and continuous delivery environments
Advocate for modern engineering practices in financial services settings, such as DevSecOps, Cloud native, Data Pipelines with appropriate security controls
An excellent communicator, able to work effectively in a collaborative team
Confident communicating with senior stakeholders, up to the Clevel
Able to tackle challenging technical and nontechnical problems independently and autonomously
An expert and trusted adviser to the business; willing to support and mentor your team to success
