_KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB_


The Senior Business Analyst role will play an integral part of the delivery team implementing our policy and claims administration software products.

The role requires a customer focused approach to the full range of business and functional analysis skillscombined with strong communication capability both written and verbal.

It requires the ability to analyse, understand and design a functional solution in order to deliver realisable business benefits to our prospects and existing customers.

In addition, the role requires a desire to share knowledge with others and contribute to education and training of the broader team,


_ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE_

  • Proven Business Analysis skills working in the insurance industry at implementing and delivering commercial insurance software solutions within the London and global markets.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience across multiple commercial lines of business preferably in multiple markets but with a good understanding of London and Lloyd's.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to credibly and confidently present complex and detailed functional content to multiple levels of stakeholders and audiences both internally and externally.
  • Experience running customer functional workshops, gathering requirements, reviewing and writing up functional documentation.
  • Ability communicates well at all levels ensuring that functional output is clear, consistent and concise.
  • Experience with operating with an offshore model and working with multilocation teams would be a benefit.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITES
a) Organise, run and write up requirement gathering functional workshops with the customer as part of an Implementation Study.

b) Understand and develop business life-cycle process flows supporting the customers operating model and aligning to policy and claims administration software functionality and workflow

c) Capture requirements during customer workshops, challenging preconceptions and promoting best practice processes

d) Write up functional requirements accurately and concisely ensuring clarity and unambiguity

e) Provide project level analysis including but not limited to - business requirement documents, Functional specifications, RTM, use cases, sequence and process flow diagrams, future state functional architecture proposals and UAT plans

f) Assist in the preparation of the implementation study documents and subsequent written output required on the project or programme.

g) Contribute in our functional team meetings updating on market and functional initiatives, and on forthcoming product features as appropriate.

h) Liaise effectively with the offshore teams especially ensuring a clarity of functional understanding in the transition to design and build

i) Configure software to meet the customer's requirements, including defining business rules


Contribution to Business & Delivery
k) To work alongside the Offshore Delivery team to ensure smooth functional delivery meeting all project and programme deadlines

l) Work with the Senior Practice Leader to improve functional team efficiency and knowledge, utilisation, transparency and help to drive standard processes and governance.

m) To assist in the new bid process for new sales as required, through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and documentation review and on occasion presentations to prospects

n) To be involved in company wide process improvement and general operation initiatives

o) Maximise productive time ensuring utilisation aligns to project plans and the revenue recognition targets of the business
