UWC Atlantic is the founding College of the UWC global education movement.

Its home is the beautiful 12th Century St Donat's Castle in South Wales, where students from over 90 countries come for two years to live and work together in a dynamic learning landscape.

UWC is a deliberately diverse, mission-driven international college with a strong commitment to the educational principles of Kurt Hahn, its founder, and a passionate belief in the importance of education as a force for good in the world - to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

Since 1962, UWC has entrusted students with authentic responsibility and guided them to make appropriate choices and to learn from their mistakes.

UWC empowers bridge-builders, systems changers and compassionate global citizens through the delivery of a pioneering and distinctive IB (International Baccalaureate) educational model.

UWC's student body is hugely diverse (from around 90 countries every year) based on its ability to reach out across the globe to attract and encourage new students from vastly differing political, religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

These inspirational young people, the next generation of leaders, are drawn from among the most marginalised groups of today's world and the most privileged.

Students are selected on their promise and potential to create impact in the fields of sustainability, social justice and peace.

The College offers one of the most comprehensive scholarship programmes available at pre-University level, with 50% of students receiving financial support.

The Philanthropy, Engagement and Partnerships (PEP) team, based on campus in Wales and in London, works with a number of college clients and partners who donate financially or give their time to various aspects of its work.

For example, the department forms the essential link between the college and its graduates - our alumni community, across cultures and continents, professional spheres and life experiences, to ensure that we stay connected to each other and to the UWC values.

Moving forward, the PEP team aims to develop a more inspired, enthused and engaged alumni community and to develop and celebrate a "culture of philanthropy" - encouraging alumni to give their time, financial support and expertise to support the colleges' future ambitions.

The PEP team also collaborates with numerous high level trusts and foundations that support the college's work and are aligned to its vision and values.

The team has high fundraising targets and ambitions for the future and this role will play a key part in ensuring we realise those ambitions.

You will lead on prospecting across the team, including identification of prospects, due diligence, producing top class research profiles and monitoring pipelines through our moves management system.

The team takes a data driven approach to fundraising, ensuring that information is centrally logged and can be used in the future to help us identify further high value opportunities.

Research skills will be utilised to retrieve, synthesise, accurately record and present information to enable the PEP team at UWC Atlantic to engage and build relationships with donors, existing and new, most motivated by UWC's mission, which is to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

We are looking for a proactive, driven individual with excellent organisation, research and database skills.

You will have an in depth understanding of the principles of philanthropy fundraising and donor motivations and use this to inform your research practices.
