Kiwi are delighted to be working alongside our long-serving and high-class client who have the opportunity to join their team as Junior Sous Chef.

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef who is committed to producing high-quality dishes and has high expectations for their work.

Both a flexible approach to work and a can-do mentality are essential.

Duties to include:

Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production.
Ensure that working areas are always kept clean.
Assist other kitchen staff as need arises.
Supervise performance of kitchen staff to ensure proper activity.
Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food in quality, quantity, and safety.
Ensure all complaints, enquiries, and suggestions by customers are attended to accordingly.
Work towards exceeding customer's expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service.
To see each guest as part of a longterm relationship not a onetime event
To create a team that is enthusiastic, consistent, and committed in the workplace that encourages an open honest and supportive culture, by working together to create excellence.

Requirements:

Demonstrable culinary experience in similar role.
NVQ L3 or equivalent in professional cookery (desirable).
Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures.
High level of creativity and ambitious to learn, grow and develop.
Familiarity with menu costing procedures.
Passion for new ideas, with the ability to provide inspiration to new members of the team.
Great attention to detail with a high level of reliability.
Flexible schedule required.
