A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Retail Professional to bring their ideas and experience to our client who is a well-known High-Street Fashion Retailer.

They require a highly experienced and commercial
Head of Retail to maximise the profitability and sales volumes generated from retail operations across the estate.

Ideally you will have Fashion Retail understanding and being used to working in a fast-paced environment.


The Role:


  • To develop a retail strategy that supports the segment priorities and introduce an implementation plan to support the strategy that is measurable.
  • Track the performance of the retail business and evolve key priorities in line with performance.
  • Fully accountable for trading margin budget
  • Develop a clear merchandising strategy for the Retail
  • Identify growth and new business investment opportunities
  • Attend monthly financial reviews to present monthly results against targets set and to outline actions required to improve performance.
  • Ensure that proper reporting is introduced to improve visibility of performance and to track more effectively estate performance.
  • Drive optimal trading margin through detailed analysis of category performance on a unitbyunit basis.
  • Evaluate the benefits of the concession partners and utilise partner expertise to support product range changes and operational performance across the estate
  • Driving the Divisional Managers to achieve the store performance and making sure the Divisional targets are achieved, wow

Skills Required:


  • Minimum of 35 years experience in a similar role
  • You must have high street retail experience as well as understanding of fashion clothing
  • Degree level educated or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within a large or multisite retail business
  • Ability to influence clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stakeholder management at the most senior levels
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent leadership skills
