We are looking to engage a Director of Information Systems to join our client based from the UK head office in Slough.

We are seeking to recruit a talented individual responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure for an organization.

The role will report to the CEO and involve working with global teams across the group.
Our client is a global technology group with headquarters in New York, 16 offices worldwide, circa 500 employees. This role is in our International Video Collaboration Division based in the UK.

For over 15 years our experienced team have been working on pioneeringprojects across the globe for a variety of corporate, educational and government clients.

We strive to deliver outstanding customer service whilst building long-term relationships.

In the UK, the group has ambitious growth plans and has recently opened ourUK headquarters in Slough, alongside a second office in Brighton.

Reporting to the CTO you will be responsible for:

  • Leading development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
  • Developing and implementing business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishing efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Managing your own workload and the output of teams of IT engineers
  • Reviewing project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team
  • Coaching and performance managing where necessary
  • Managing projects from inception to successful completion
  • Analysing IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Managing and overseeing delivery of IT Corporate services hosted both on local datacentres and public ones.
  • Overseeing security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Driving consistent standards and approaches throughout the team
  • Facilitating IT security audits or investigations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Required skills and experience:

  • At least five years commercial experience
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or O36
  • Deep knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of IAM systems (AD/LDAP)
  • Knowledge of Mail delivery systems
  • Experience of managing, directing and motivating staff to deliver projects with stretching scope and objectives
  • Experience on datacentre management
  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Experience at advising key stakeholders at senior and board level Personal skills required:
