About You:
The Quality department in this company is busy, and this role has been created due to business growth
They need someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can interpret engineering drawings with a basic knowledge of welding inspection.
You'll have:
- Good understanding of ISO9001:2015 QMS requirements and customer focus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with good interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Selfmotivated and able to prioritise and resolve competing priorities and workloads.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience using a range of measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of welding inspection.
- Able to adapt to the everchanging technology and willingness to learn new skills.
- Handson approach to problemsolving and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
The Job:
- Perform dimensional and/or visual part inspection of engineering drawings using gauges and other relevant inspection equipment.
- Perform material inspections.
- Control the inspection of all parts received from suppliers, utilising several manual and digital inspection measuring devices and equipment.
- Initiating and investigating nonconforming parts.
- Quarantine items, raising nonconformance reports and liaising with suppliers for corrective actions and countermeasures.
- Perform and verify First Article Inspection (FAI) data to AS9102 requirements.
- Perform product release and acceptance in the company ERP system
- Active role in continuous improvements to our QMS.
