Description
Job Advert

We've recently launched as a new organisation, following a merger of two sister organisations with a shared aim, and we're excited about the opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

We will be focusing on using and championing high-quality evidence, working directly with government and local leaders to provide practical solutions and encourage change.

This is an exciting moment to join us:
we're a new organisation with some ambitious aims and our people are essential to our success.

As a What Works Centre, we have a pivotal role as the go-to source for evidence and advice on early intervention and children social care.

We seek to communicate evidence in a way that is robust and transparent and that is also relevant and accessible for national and local audiences, including policymakers, public service commissioners and managers, frontline practitioners and service providers.

We are looking for a Communications Officer to work with colleagues in the Communications Team supporting strategic communications planning and delivery across the whole communications mix, in line with the communications and press strategy.

The role will involve close working with colleagues across the organisation to pinpoint and act on opportunities to share our messages and findings.

Working proactively and creatively, you will support and implement communications activity across the whole communications mix including strategic communications, events, press, publications, and digital and social media.

We are looking for a self-starter with good foundational communications skills and experience, as well as excellent organisational skills, who is looking to take the next step in their career supported by a hardworking and friendly team.

We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families.

We want people from all backgrounds to join our team.

We offer competitive salaries, respect for work-life balance, learning and development and a great office location situated in the Evidence Quarter in the heart of St James' home to a number of like-minded research organisations.
