The ONE Group are delighted to be parting with a longstanding client of ours to support with the appointment of their next Financial Controller.

This is a lovely SME environment that operates on a national level and plays a huge part in their industry.

As Financial Controller, you'll sit on the leadership team and be responsible for the day to day running of the finance team, and associated business finances.

You will be the face of the finance team and also work closely with external stakeholders as wellas your internal ones, including Senior and Executive Leadership Teams.

Core responsibilities:

Management of Finance Team
2 Direct Reports
8 Indirect Reports
Full ownership of budget and forecasting process
Business partner heads of departments and support with business decision making
Oversee, and support with weekly and monthly reporting process, providing board packs and accompanying commentary
Be point of contact during audit periods and work with the Finance Director on the preparation of statutory accounts
Maintain an attitude of continuous improvement, taking opportunity to develop processes and internal controls where possible
Ad hoc duties and projects as and when the needs arise with both business and industry changes
