Furniture Upholsterer
Based at our Huncoat
, Lancashire Site
Negotiable Pay Rate + Company Benefits.

We are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Upholsterers who will be responsible for producing seating product by using skill, to upholster, cover and finish to a high standard.

The Role

To prepare fabric and components for use in upholstery and/or soft furnishings.
To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.
Application of mesh material into plastic back using air hammer and hands.
To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.
Maintaining a high level of quality and meeting production efficiency
Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery

The Person

High degree of upholstery skills
The ability to produce a good quality product with excellent attention to detail.
Practical skills, manual dexterity, especially hand skills and coordination.
A positive mindset with a 'can do' attitude.
The aptitude to assimilate techniques.
Manual handling, as some lifting is required.
Ability to use own initiative and to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
Measuring and cutting skills would also be beneficial.
