Description

As an Area Leader you will be responsible to lead the team to meet predefined KPIs and targets while handling technical and operational administrative duties.

Ensure a safety-first culture, actively engaging in reporting and driving improvements. Oversee business KPIs, including labour, material cost, operational performance, quality, and customer service, allocating time for continuous improvement initiatives. Support quality standards and maintain audit readiness. Foster a fair and empowering work environment for team members, occasionally stepping in for the Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Prioritise health and safety by identifying concerns, participating in meetings, and implementing safety measures.
Drive productivity using Redzone, review targets for improvement, and maintain daily huddle attendance.
Uphold product quality standards, leading quality tours and collaborating with stakeholders for enhancement.
Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holiday scheduling, agency labour coordination, and standard labour achievement.
Develop team members through coaching, communication, and training, collaborating with senior management for appraisals and objective setting.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications:

Basic Manufacturing processes skills (SMED, 5S, 5 Whys )
Basic English language skills; oral and literacy.
Be able to pass on skills through coaching and mentoring.
To have experience and understanding in all aspects of associated technical and production systems.
Basic level of computer literacy and knowledge; to include experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Redzone

Salary:
£12.54 per hour
