Are you looking to develop towards a career in healthcare or the specialty of Physiotherapy? We have a vacancy for a full time Physiotherapy assistant apprentice based on the Stroke rehab ward at Leicester General Hospital.
The Physiotherapy assistant apprentice will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing stroke rehabilitation working under the guidance of qualified Physiotherapists and as part of a supportive team of therapists and other support staff.

The post holder will work with registered Physiotherapists to develop the skills to support them in the treatment of stroke patients in order to facilitate their discharge from hospital.
You will need to be motivated, organised and able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Administrative and clerical duties are involved but you will be taught all you need to know.You will be expected to have an equivalent of a Grade C at GCSE in English and Maths.
There is a programme of professional development and assessment that you will be expected to undertake and complete within months in order to successfully achieve your apprenticeship.
You will receive a comprehensive Trust and departmental induction, regular supervision and annual appraisal and will work towards the apprenticeship standard for Healthcare support worker programme and develop knowledge appropriate to your role.
