Senior Health and Safety Consultant

Location:
Warrington or Leeds

Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 plus package

A global Project and Programme Consultancy delivering constructive expertise on some of the most exciting and high-profile construction projects are seeking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, although experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services could be an advantage.

You will be responsible for delivering a number of roles, which we have established following the introduction of CDM 2015, in all technical and contractual aspects of a professional practice.

Based in either our Leeds or Warrington Offices you will cover a range of sectors including but not limited to retail, housing, commercial property, manufacturing, infrastructure, public sector, and education.

Requirements:

Suitable and relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background.
Chartered/Professional Qualification in Design or Construction.
NEBOSH qualified (minimum Construction Certificate).
Preferable Member of APS / IOSH / CIOB.
5 years minimum experience in a similar role.
Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety issues.
Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 201
H+S Training capability may be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Providing Health & Safety Services on both independent commissions and also to complement our wider project delivery services.
Providing Principal Designer Services under CDM201
Production of preconstruction information, files and other associated CDM documents.
Ensuring Designer compliance.
Reviewing contractors documentation.
Interfacing with clients and design teams on project basis.
Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues.
Proactive in business development of the Services within the Region.
Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.
