Job Summary


To ensure the efficient and effective provision of a comprehensive Human Resources service to the Trust and to contribute to the enhancement of a high quality, responsive service to Managers within the Trust.

Apprentice Employee Relations (ER) Advisor (CIPD accreditation)


The Employee Relations Team ensures that employee concerns are thoroughly investigated and responded to in a fair, timely and efficient manner.

Experience in employee relations is a great foundation for a successful career in HR.

Your role will contribute towards a just and positive working culture.

You will learn how to coach managers in the risk-management of employee relations, including: sickness absence, disciplinary, grievances, dignity at work investigations and capability processes.


You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and coordination of a proactive employee relations service, supporting line managers and staff.

Given the nature of the work undertaken, timely, effective intervention is important. The role includes supporting with change management processes, delivering training to line managers and undertaking defined projects.


St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's principal teaching hospitals and our main site is shared with St George's, University of London, which trains medical students and carries out advanced medical research.
