Job Purpose
Supporting the Materials Controller in the day to day running of the Materials Department Purchasing and Production Control activities.


Previous use of an ERP system in a manufacturing environment in an Administrative or Purchasing role would be a distinct advantage.

We use the MIEtrak ERP System. Would suit an individual looking to expand their knowledge in Purchasing / Administration within a manufacturing environment. Full support and training will be provided.


Reports to Materials Controller - Fablink Toolspec Ltd Luton


Responsible for Materials Administration for Site


Close Liaison with Suppliers, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Accounts, Sales, and other Internal Customers.


Key Areas of Job


1- Control of all MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) Purchasing activity in line with requests from Team Members, to support the Companies' activities and deadlines.


2- Processing of all Goods Receipt Notes in MIEtrak ERP System with full data on a timely basis with responsibility to modify any errors identified.

3- Control of Manual Paint Folders and MIEtrak recording of External Finishers Process data.

4- Production Purchasing - Support the Materials Controller in the creation of Purchase Orders for Production Parts.

5- Production Purchasing - Expediting of Purchase Orders for Production Parts.


6- Production Control - Support the Materials Controller in the creation, monitoring and administration of Work Orders activities in Production.

7- Creation of and communication of Monthly Purchase Orders for specified Suppliers

8- Replenishment and some maintenance of Production and Office Vending equipment.

9- Support other departments with daily or Project based tasks.

10- Deputise for Materials Controller when called to do so.

11- Take on other tasks as may be required from time to time.


Key Post Holder Requirements

Essential:
Ø Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Ø Fully conversant with M.S. Office particularly Outlook, Excel & Word.

Ø Organised and self-disciplined with the ability to work on own initiative with a positive and flexible attitude.

Salary:
£22,600.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Luton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
