TristoneNash are pleased to be supporting a reputable Housing Provider to secure a Community Partner, offering a 37-hour contract over a 4 day working week.

Initially, this is a 2 month contract, with the possibility of extension.


As a Community Partner, you will be the single point of contact for tenants and residents in the area that you work in, liaising with other internal teams as required.

You will be accountable, responsible and responsive with the ability to deliver a holistic service to tenants, bringing together the delivery of an excellent restorative housing service together with the delivery of support including contractual tenure neutral support (through the Housing Support Grant) to Contract Holders and residents living within the borough.

You will deliver an excellent service, based on Contract Holders' needs, mutual values (which is trauma informed) and restorative.

You will develop fantastic, meaningful and sustainable relationships with tenants and residents, finding out what they want to achieve and helping them to meet their goals and aspirations.


You will be able to respond to issues as they arise and work pro-actively to resolve problems before they escalate, with a focus on trauma informed practices not enforcement, and tenancy sustainment not eviction.


This way of working will help us to help our Contract Holders manage their home, money, rent payments, develop positive relationships with their neighbours and play an active part in their community.


You will work to get the best out of every relationship which will sometimes mean, you will be responsible for having the challenging conversations and dealing with difficult situations to encourage change in a customer's behaviour.


In your new role you will report to the Community Support and Housing Team Leader or the Community Safety and Housing Team Leader.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting Contract Holders and working with other teams to ensure prospective tenants are ready to have a contract with the Organisation in line with their precontract processes.
  • Prompt allocation of void garages.
  • Have personal contact with every Contract Holder in your management area at least once a year.
  • Providing an estate management service, working with other teams to ensure that contract obligations are met, open spaces are maintained and developed and properties are maintained to a high standard.
  • Understand your Contract Holders needs and aspirations and help them identify what they need to do to achieve them and how you and others can help them.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of resources available in the community to help your Contract Holders and residents build a better life for themselves and their families.
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with other local agencies, such as Voluntary and Statutory partners.
  • Coaching and guiding Contract Holders to meet the terms and conditions of their contract agreement. If this is not possible, making realistic agreements for the Contract Holder to meet these responsibilities. Liaising with the Contract Holder on a regular basis to carry out contract reviews and where needed to reset agreements ensuring agreed actions consist of achievable steps.
  • Meeting the agreed case load numbers and hours required for our support contract.
  • To assist and support in all legal requirements relating to the contract or lease.
  • Safeguard Contract Holders and work with third parties to ensure concerns are addressed quickly and in line with current guidance.

Experience Required:


  • You will have proven experience of work within a housing support related role for a minimum of 2 years.
  • You're customer focused and a good communicator with the ability to resolve practical and complex problems.
  • You enjoy working directly with the general public to resolve and solve issues, and are able to work in a trauma informed way, to achieve positive outcomes.
  • You're a resilient person with proven experience of managing a busy and varied workload.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the Renting Homes Wales Act and all other Housing related legislation.
  • Full driving licence and use of vehicle for work (reasonable adjustments will be considered)
