From September 1st 2020 a new collaboration became responsible for delivering Primary Care Mental Health Services in Brighton and Hove for both children and young people and adults.

Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) in partnership with YMCA Downslink Group (YMCA) and Southdown, the service provides a community-based range of evidence-based or evidence-informed therapeutic and clinical interventions to support people with mild to moderate mental health needs.

To provide clinical leadership and specialist expertise around the assessment and treatment of children and young people referred.

In addition, to work as a member of the CYP clinical team, in its primary care context, offering high quality, psychological interventions.


To work with the CYP Service Manager, ensuring there are clinical governance arrangements to ensure the effective and safe triaging, assessment and treatment of children and young people referred to the service.

To offer clinical supervision, line management and consultation as needed. To support service development, audit and evaluation. In addition, to work with professionals in CAMHS and Schools Wellbeing Service to advise on clinical pathways.
