An Established Insurance and Risk Management Broker based on the Lancashire coast who plays an integral part within the local business community, throughout the UK and further afield have a brand-new role for an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join their Liability Claims division.


This will be an exciting time to join due to an increase in business and successful growth offering career progression and development within the business going forward.

The role will involve:


  • Working closely with the Head of Liability and Head of Claims (Property and Loss Adjusting)
  • Playing a vital role within the Business by actively managing Motor Claims (1stand 3rdParty) through to settlement
  • It is very much a handson role where you will work with Policyholders direct (via the telephone and face to face) and Insurers
  • There will be the opportunity to handle a wider variety of Claims due to the number of claims coming in and the expansion of the Claims Team which may include EL/PL, Professional Indemnity, Commercial etc.
  • Take instruction of Claims, check policy wordings/validity
  • Gather all relevant information/evidence to establish liability
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to manage the lifecycle of the claims process

Applicant Requirements:


About you:


  • Experienced in working within an Insurance Claims related environment (Insurers/Brokers or Loss Adjusters)
  • The ability to handle 1stand 3rdparty vehicle damage
  • A background working closely with policyholders and Insurers
  • Excellent listening skills and interview techniques being able to extract detailed information
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal, face to face and written
  • Be comfortable dealing with people on a facetoface basis
  • Experienced working in a team environment and enjoy working in a team/office environment
  • Acturis systems experience, advantageous
  • Industry exams, preferred or working towards
