Lead Bookkeeper/Accountant


Salary:
£30k DOE

My client is looking for a Lead Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team and aid in supporting clients to ensure their bookkeeping is kept up to date, with meaningful financial data available.

The role includes monthly digital bookkeeping using Xero and add on aps such as DEXT.

Other roles include accounting adjustments such as accruals and prepayments, maintaining fixed asset registers, depreciation, VAT returns and Payroll will also be supportedby this team.

The position would suit someone who is fully qualified AAT (level 4) or studying towards ACCA/ACA or newly qualified. This role is offering full study support to those looking to further their education and complete qualifications.


Duties:


  • Reviewing bookkeeping and Xero records, dealing with journals, and preparing management accounts.
  • Developing cloud bookkeeping and accounting services.
  • Reviewing the work of other team members.
  • Accessing financial records of the clients, predominantly using Xero.

Skills and Experience:


  • 3 years accountancy experience ideally within practice.
  • Great organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Packages.
  • Level 4 AAT qualified or working towards level 4 or ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience.
  • Experience using Xero cloud accounting technology is essential.
