Our customer is looking for a Test and Calibration Operative to follow a daily work schedule to test and calibrate gas detection equipment to specified ranges and alarm levels while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Carry out first and second line calibration on any equipment
Accurately complete test reports and test certificates as required
Be able to set up and programme PCBs following the customers work instructions
Carry out basic repairs at module level and component level in the workshop
Achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with the customers processes and procedures
Comply with their Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
Comply with their Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001)
Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation
Do other duties as requested

Qualifications Essential

Minimum 3 years experience
Existing vocational electronic/mechanical engineering qualification at Level 3 or higher
5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade C or above including English, Maths and ICT
Selfmotivated with a "can do" attitude
Good communication skills
Punctual
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Ability to work as part of a team
Genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering

Desirable
Full, clean UK driving licence

Onsite parking is available and local stops for public transport by bus and train are nearby
