My client has a fantastic opportunity for a
COMPLIANCE ADVISOR to provide regulatory guidance and business partnering support to stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure identification, analysis and communication of regulatory change, and oversight of the businesses' completion of changes required to ensure compliance with new requirements
- Provide support to all areas during the development of new or existing products and services
- Support business areas on key projects linked to growth strategy plans
- Undertake the sign off of marketing materials and financial promotions, developing business relationships with the Marketing area and delivering to agreed SLAs
- Provide practical support and advice to management and project members on how to approach and handle regulatory or substantive issues affecting the business and agree processes for addressing these issues
- Deliver compliance training to the business, ensuring that new and existing regulatory rules and principles are embedded
- Oversee the Compliance Mailbox providing responses to regulatory queries from the business
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the FCA/PRA's requirements and standards
- Ensure Conduct Risk & Customer Outcomes are considered in promoting a healthy culture
- Ensure the continued protection of information, by following all applicable Information Security policies and procedures and by reporting suspected weaknesses in information security controls to the Information Security Officer
- Understand how Conduct Risk, Customer Outcomes, Risk Management and Solvency II Systems of Governance relate to both the role and the divisional activities
- Comply with Code of Conduct, Company Policies and Procedures as appropriate
- Provide support to the Data Protection and Financial Crime Team if required
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Excellent understanding and awareness of the UK financial regulatory framework
- Detailed knowledge of the insurance industry regulatory environment
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills across all levels of staff
- Competent knowledge of insurance and group risk protection products
- Relevant Legal, Internal Audit or Compliance qualification
- ICA Certificate/Diploma an advantage
