An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic business support team as a Youth Justice Business & Partnership Coordinator within the Youth Justice Service in Early Help and Prevention.

The role of the Youth Justice Business & Partnership Co-ordinator is to provide comprehensive business support, confidential assistance, partnership working and administrative support to the Youth Justice Team assisting them to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.


You will be responsible for managing the business support officers for the service together with co-ordinating tasks and being the first point of contact for the partnership working for the service together with overseeing the facilities management for the building.

You may also be required to undertake research or special projects on behalf of the team/service as directed by the Service Manager/Team Leader.

You will have the ability to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the attributes and skills required to take accurate and timely minutes, and experience of taking minutes for high level partnership and senior management meetings.


You will also have responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the Youth Justice business support team, projects function of the service, leading and supporting the wider youth justice partnership and stakeholders, providing effective administrative support for the statutory youth justice service and statutory strategic partnership board.

You will be required to run an efficient, accurate and timely business support service for staff and update relevant computerised systems.


You will support the Service in the delivery of its objectives by supporting the induction of new staff, arranging meetings, liaising with external contract providers, collating, analysing and disseminating management information.

You will proactively assist in resolving issues promptly wherever possible, ensuring that the service area's management team is fully briefed of any issues that arise.


You will need to be experienced in providing high quality, confidential administrative work and able to collate, analyse and report on a range of qualitative and quantitative management data from internal and external sources and monitor performance statistics for the department.

Will also need to be positive, motivated, innovative and committed to change, have excellent communication skills and be highly organised together with being proficient in using ICT, including bespoke databases and G-Suite products.

You will have the ability to work flexibly, both individually and as part of a team.

The post holder will need to co-ordinate filing and storage of records and reports for the service area maximising accessibility together with maintaining effective systems for financial management and tracking within the service.


You will be expected to be committed to the Council's core values of public service, quality, anti-racism, equality, empowerment and to demonstrate this.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
