SRG is delighted to be supporting a truly unique and innovative start-up biotech with their ongoing recruitment needs as they continue to build their in-house research teams.
Our client is focusing on the development of a highly novel synthetic biology platformto offer a range of cell therapeutics using CRISPR methodology to engineer iPSCs.
Due to ongoing expansion of the business, they are now looking to appoint a Laboratory Facilities Technician to join the Scientific Operations Team.
As Laboratory Technician, you will contribute to the generation of their cell therapy platform and future clinical products.Key Responsibilities:
- Run regular reports and physical stock checks to ensure adequate stocks and to notify scientists of consumables near to expiring.
- Work with Head of Sci Ops to identify new products and alternatives when faced with shortages or standard stock supply constraints.
- Receive and receipt all general deliveries.
- Add reagents to the online inventory system upon arrival.
- Establishing a basic equipment calibration and lab cleaning/maintenance schedule
- Ensuring service records are uptodate and filed correctly.
- Ensuring equipment is PAT tested and to organise this when required.
- Collecting glassware for cleaning and autoclaving
- Ensuring compressed gases are ordered and supplied to the labs and laundry is collected, exchanged, and distributed.
