GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Hereford for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join a highly successful, rapidly expanding organisation.

Our client is an NHS approved, market leading company making inspirational and innovate products for over sixty years.

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible to the Hereford Site Manager, with dotted line to the UK Quality Manager with the right of appeal to the Deputy Managing Director


Manufacturing Quality Engineer duties:

  • Assists management in implementing and maintaining a quality system that is compliant with ISO 13485 and FDA quality system regulation requirements
  • Evaluates changes to design and/or manufacturing process for impact to DHF.
  • Leads and executes activities to close any gaps, such as additional verification testing or updates to risk documentation.
  • Ensures suppliers are on the approved vendor list.
  • Completes component part qualification activities not limited to, but including first articles, R&R, and implementation of SPC requirements
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as electrical, or mechanical
  • Develops, documents, and validates inspection and test methods to support design control, inprocess inspection, and final inspection activities utilizing knowledge in engineering fields
  • Performs product and process risk assessment activities, including hazard analysis and design/process failure modes & effects analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA)
  • Supports product/process transfers during pilot and manufacturing builds
  • Conducts design for manufacturability reviews and suggests improvements to aid in capability and measurement analysis

Manufacturing Quality Engineer required skills and experience:

  • An experienced, Manufacturing Quality Engineer who has experience of maintaining processes and procedures to comply with ISO900
  • Has experience working in a manufacturing environment with multiple processes in fast moving environment.
  • Experience of problem solving and root cause analysis and can demonstrate the use of these tools.
  • A pragmatic individual who understands the primary focus of the business is to help clients whilst being profitable, utilising simple processes and documentation to achieve this.
  • A team player, able to influence people at all levels.
This is a full time, permanent position, Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 17:00pm and Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm.

This role comes with a highly competitive salary up to £37,000 which is pending experience, plus excellent fringe benefits.
