Description
Gain an understanding of the company banking facilities and procedures and assist with regular reconciliation processes

  • Collate information for statutory reporting of government statistics
  • Assist in the control and processing of business expenses in accordance with company policy
  • Support preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations as and when required
  • To assist in areas of Indirect tax reporting
  • Account reconciliations in accordance with group internal control procedures
  • Assisting with data analysis and financial modelling
  • Participating in the monthly closing process and reconciling accounts
  • Conducting research and supporting adhoc projects as required

SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • To have a keen interest in developing a career in Finance or be actively studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT
  • Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software is desirable
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GCSE or equivalent Maths & Englsih (Grade 4/C) Essential


FUTURE PROSPECTS:

Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.


NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE:

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £4.81 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.


Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.


The minimum wage rates are £6.83 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £9.18 for anyone aged 21-22 and £9.50 for anyone aged 23 and over.
