Cyber Security Engineer - Technology Provider - Kent - £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

Overview:

A leading technology provider are currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their Cyber Security Operations team.

You will have a passion for Cyber Security and will help to minimise and control the damage resulting from cybersecurity incidents,provide practical guidance for the response, coordinate recovery activities, and work to prevent future incidents from reoccurring.


This position requires 1 day week in the Kent office with a on-call shift 1 in every 8 weeks

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Act on security alerts, incidents, requests, and events to ensure that threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches are managed to minimise impact to confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data.
  • Prioritise and diagnose security incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Investigate the causes of incidents, document findings and seek resolution.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Facilitate recovery, following the resolution of incidents.

Essential Skills & Experience:


  • Solid understanding of Cyberattacks (SIEM)
  • Good experience with Security documentation reviewing
  • 25 years Cyber Security experience in a SOC or Equivalent

Package:

- £50,000 - £60,000
