Purpose of the job

Reporting to the Service Manager you will assist the existing parts person in the day to day running of a busy forklift truck parts department serving field based and workshop engineers as well as the trade counter.

Main tasks

• Assisting with the reorganization of the current stores' facility
• Issue parts to workshop engineers and external engineers
• Van stock replenishment
• Ensure all deliveries into stock are received correctly and checked in
• Annual Stocktaking,
• Dispatching goods by carrier
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and post and as required.

Experience & Knowledge required for the job

An understanding of mechanical components would be an advantage but not necessary as on the job training will be given.

You must have strong communication and organisational skills and be methodical and proactive. You must be computer literate.
