Children's Accident & Emergency - Ward Housekeeper

Part time hrs a week, permanent

Would you like the opportunity to work alongside our friendly and motivated team of nurses and other healthcare professionals?


We require a part-time housekeeper to help us maintain a safe, tidy and comfortable environment for children and their families.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of catering, ordering and organisation of stores. The housekeeper role incorporates an array of non-clinical tasks including additional duties as directed by the nursing staff.
You must have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to organise and prioritise work effectively and efficiently. The role involves liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary teams within CED and the wider hospital.

The Post Holder will:


  • Work as an integral part of the CED team, being responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities/ service.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment and act as a focal point for nonclinical tasks.
  • Coordinate the delivery of catering, cleaning and ward stores
  • Coordinate and oversee minor maintenance and repairs, together with other specified tasks to meet the needs of the ward.
  • Work closely with support services, Facilities Management and other departments as necessary.
