Job description - Surveillance Officer
In this Surveillance Officer position, you will be joining the market surveillance regulatory department at their Paris office.

You will be responsible for carrying out real time and T+1 market surveillance to ensure the maintenance of an orderly market and compliance of all regulatory requirements in traded equity securities.

You will be part of a team to supervise market activity, utilising various methodologies including electronic monitoring tools and alerts, and liaising with external customers and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities - Surveillance Officer:

In this Surveillance Officer role in London, your responsibilities will include:_
Monitoring all trading activity on the exchange for potential market abuse
Reporting suspicious behavior to the regulators in conjunction with the Compliance Officer
Monitoring member behavior to ensure it is in line with the Aquis Rulebook
Reporting rulebook violations to the Compliance Officer
Produces surveillance summary information as part of the provision of management information
Assisting in the development and subsequent testing of surveillance system enhancements

Job requirements - Surveillance Officer

A 2.1 Bachelors from a topranked university and a Master's degree in finance or related field
A right to work in the EU
MUST be fluent in both French and English (both at written and speaking)
Genuine interest in the financial markets, and the confidence to discuss key market trends
Excellent knowledge of trading and the current market
IMF Certified is a bonus
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Attention to detail and highly numerate
An excellent team player, with an ability to work on your own initiative
