The Client


Our Client are a major property & commercial services company, providing facilities management, M&E, property management & energy/healthcare services across the Country.

Due to demand, they are looking to recruit a permanent Facilities Maintenance Manager working across their Northern region.


The Role


Reporting to the Northern Regional Manager, the main objective of your role will be to manage the day to day running of the M&E Engineering team in the North of England.

Ensuring the team strives for and exceeds expectations on service excellence through first class management, leadership, customer focus, training and development.

Implement planned preventative maintenance programme ensuring efficient use of time and resource and at the same dealing with the reactive element as and when required.

Duties
To be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the M&E Engineering team and Planned Maintenance projects.

To provide an effective interface with customers meeting, developing and reviewing service levels.

To ensure programme deadlines and financial targets are achieved

To liaise with clients and their representatives to ensure their requirements are understood and all contract requirements met.


To supervise and manage all operatives and staff, both directly employed and subcontract, to ensure all works are being carried out to the correct standard of customer care and quality.

To ensure Health and Safety procedures and requirements are followed and always met.

To manage staff, of all disciplines and coordinate all works as appropriate to achieve the programme requirements.

To ensure directly employed operatives workload is always maintained.


To manage all sub-contractors to ensure they are meeting our programme requirements and are doing so at the correct price and quality.

Assist in the preparation of regular valuations and ensure that all variations and additional works are recorded and confirmed properly

To attend contract meetings both within the Company and with our clients and obtain any specific information required for these meetings

In conjunction with the purchasing department order all materials to ensure the programme is maintained.

To ensure timesheets, production sheets, CVI's and all other paperwork is properly completed and forwarded to the office on time

To ensure all operatives are abiding by employee handbook and vehicle policy

Ensure all contract quality control procedures are carried out, including QHSE inspectorate

Any other duties that are reasonably required for the effective functioning of the role.

Requirements:Qualified in a Building Services discipline.

Experience in M&E building Services management roles.

Experience of working in an FM contract

Preferred experience in the Management of Critical System Infrastructure.

Excellent understanding of Health and Safety with IOSH/NEBOSH Certification being an advantage.

Strong customer focus skills and attitude.

Strong communication skills, analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Have a high level of skill within core M&E discipline

Good working knowledge of the Concept CAFM system.

Flexible and willing approach to work with ability to work on own initiative
