Sterling Recruitment are delighted to be working with our fantastic client who are based in Gateshead.

Due to substantial growth our client are looking to add a Foundry Operative to their team on a permanent basis.

The role will consist of working a 3 shift rotation once fully trained.
The role is 37hrs per week, working 3 shifts when fully trained. (06:00 - 13:45, 13:30 - 21:15 & 21:00 - 06:15). Pay rate of £11.80 per hour with a weekly shift allowance when working shifts of £41.81 per week

This is a permanent opportunity from day one.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Prepare all ladles required for casting
Pour metal into moulds/furnaces as required
Repair ladles as required
Drive overhead crane
Drive mini digger to KO ladles
Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
All tasks to be completed in the safest manner, adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations
Experience of working within a Foundry is preferred but not essential
Overhead crane driver Preferred but not essential
Experience of hand and pneumatic tools preferred but not essential
