Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Ealing


We have a fantastic opportunity to join a primary school in Ealing as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children with learning, social and behavioural needs.

This is a fulltime position from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.


You do not need previous experience within a school setting as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant but you will ideally have previous experience working with children in some capacity.

The Role:


  • Help teacher with setting up and tidying up classrooms as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment and follow safeguarding procedures as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Able to work 1:1 and in small group settings with pupils as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Supervise group activities, including outings and sports events

Requirements:


  • Need to have active listening skills in order to understand the children's needs as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations is required as a Special Needs
  • You will have sensitivity and understanding for building good relationships with children as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Willing to be flexible and open to change when working on different activities

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
