Scope and General Purpose:


Responsible for maintenance and repair work in its entirety: bedrooms, out houses, storage facilities, function rooms, restaurant, bar, kitchen, staff accommodation, offices and their contents.

Part-time role, 24 hours per week, worked over 3 days.
(Full time considered)

Guest:


  • To provide support in terms of small jobs requiring a basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrics and other crafts
  • To assist the hotel with any small refurbishment work that is scheduled in
  • To possess a clear understanding of health and safety regulations
  • To work to the designated jobs listed in Guestline in a prioritised fashion
  • To maintain a neat working manner and environment
  • To maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and staff
  • To ensure the ongoing compliance with statutory requirements relating to the work of the department
  • To prioritise work so that the guest's bedrooms come first and that no rooms are out of inventory where required

People:


  • To work closely with your line manager as well as other departments
  • To report any suspicious incidents, substances, objects or character immediately to your line manager
  • Work with your colleagues effectively
  • To complete any reasonable tasks set by your line manager
  • Provide a good service to all internal customers

Business:


  • To act as a salesperson, promoting the image of the Hotel at all times
  • To complete an ongoing PPM or (planned preventative maintenance)
  • To attend the 10 am meetings daily in the absence of your Line Manager

Corporate and Social Responsibilities:


  • To be aware of and comply with the Hotel's Policy on Health and Safety at work and fire policy.
  • To carry out all duties in a safe manner, having regards to the health, safety and welfare of all persons on the hotel premises
  • To be aware of and comply with the Hotel's rules and regulations
  • Personal hygiene to be of the highest standard
  • To adhere to the requirement of data protection and storage of data in line with the company policy
  • To have a sound understanding of the fire panel/procedure and your duties in case of a fire
