Our client, based in York, is looking to recruit an experienced administrator to their office, on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be working as a compliance administrator.

No prior experience in compliance is necessary as full training will be given, all our client ask is you have a willingness to learn and develop an interest in furthering your knowledge in compliance and a regulatory environment.


Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compliance support for all departments of the business ensuring daily practices are compliant
  • Monitor the activities of the firm's Sales team by reviewing business and undertaking monitoring and risk analysis
  • Undertake regular Audits & provide relevant Management Information to identify risk and recommend the required actions
  • Helping to maintain accurate and relevant business records and centralised compliance registers
  • Collaborating with the Compliance Officer and the business to successfully implement and provide ongoing monitoring of business activities and regulatory developments
  • Directly assisting the Compliance Manager in the execution of their regular and ad hoc duties
  • Completing allocated tasks outlines in the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Comply with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the FCA's Principles and Rules
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and financial regulation, and an aptitude to keep updated with any significant changes that are relevant to the business
  • The ability to maintain the confidential nature of information
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in communicating with people at all levels
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • A high attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative skills and be proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft packages
  • The ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • The ability to work well under pressure & meet deadlines
  • The ability to research independently and work unsupervised, with the desire to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities where necessary
  • A 'cando' attitude to work
