Job Summary:


As a Junior Planner within our dynamic Planning team at Grays Transport, you will play a pivotal role in our Furniture distribution operations.

Collaborating closely with senior planners, you will actively contribute to the efficient planning and execution of logistics processes.


This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Furniture distribution sector while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in

Route Planning:
Collaborate with senior planners to develop optimized transportation routes, considering delivery windows, traffic conditions, and cost-efficiency.

  • Issue Resolution: Address issues and challenges that arise during the day, working proactively to find solutions and maintain smooth operations.
  • Workload Management: Independently manage your workload, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn in a fastpaced logistics environment.
  • Strong geographical knowledge.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):


  • Understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of logistics software systems (e.g., TMS, WMS).
