Description
What the Hiring Manager Says

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for you to build a career as a Financial Planner within the Quilter group.

No experience or qualifications are necessary, as we will support you fully to ensure that you are well equipped, qualified, and skilled to start advising clients and help them to bring their financial plans to life.

You will follow a structured training program that will ensure that you have both the softer skills required as well as the technical knowledge.

You will have the opportunity to shadow more experienced Financial Planners throughout your training period and see first-hand how rewarding the role can be.

Financial Planning Director

About the Role

As a Trainee Financial Planner, you will work towards gaining financial planning qualifications, technical knowledge, and confidence in dealing with clients.

You will undertake a thorough training programme supported by our Financial Adviser School, whilst also undertaking some elements of the advice process, supporting both financial planners and regional teams.

On achieving your level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice and authorisation from the FCA, you will start to provide advice to clients in respect of the more routine services and products and begin to build your own client bank as a fully-fledged financial planner.

Alongside this you'll support more senior staff by providing assistance and technical backup, and will absorb current developments in financial services, the financial markets and economic trends.

You will proactively support existing Financial Planners in actively seeking new business opportunities, both from new and existing clients.

For example, attending exhibitions, being active in local business and communities, following up leads, explaining the Wealth division's services to potential new clients and following up all opportunities to obtain new clients.

You'll also build relationships both internally and externally. For example, with Quilter Cheviot Investment Managers, as well as professional connections.
