Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of installation and servicing solutions in the field of Gas Engines for power generation and CHP to the green energy sector.

Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will work as part of the wider team responsible for the installation, maintenance and repairs of Biogas, Natural Gas and Syngas Engines (predominantly CHP Engines) from 30kW to 7MW.

As part of our team covering the Peterborougharea, you will work from home to visit client's sites working on all types of gas engines.

You will be working primarily on your own but with backup and support from our multi skilled team based in the Midlands area, you will be part of on a call out rotafor the engines based in your area which will mean you will be on call one week in Three/four including the weekend and evening 24/7.

You will be experienced in mechanical, commissioning, electrical (24V to 425VAC) and control system fault-finding and ideally generator experience would be advantageous, and be able to replace parts, effect repairs, diagnose failures, plus engine stripsand rebuilds.

Further training will be provided as necessary.

Skills/Background :

Gas and Biogas Engine Experience, Generators, Power Generation, Large Plant, Fault Finding Skills, general mechanical and electrical engineering, 415v systems, experience with Jenbacher, MAN, MWM or Caterpillar engines is an advantageexperience with Biogas engines essential.

Qualifications :
